Republic of Zimbabwe

The Red Star, in the National Flag of Zimbabwe, stands for internationalism. The colours are representative of green for vegetation, yellow for the country's mineral wealth, red for the blood spilt during the struggle for independence, and black for the black majority. The Zimbabwe Bird is a National Symbol and the white triangle is for peace.

This flag was adopted in 1980.
